Successful director's short films

I think it'd be a good idea to post shorts from already successful directors to see where they've started and how they've progresed.

Heres tarantino's My Best Friend's Birthday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6MUbRZSg80

And Richard Kelly's The Goodbye Place. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mC6t0Ik1MFU

Tarantino's is a lot like his earlier stuff for the most part. Dialogue driven.

If you've watched Kelly's film, its very similar to all his stuff. Scifish with a hint of spirituality. '

Any other shorts out there?

That's Christopher Nolan's first short. After this, he made the feature-length "Following."

From there he did Memento, and the rest is history.

Let me put my first short out here... ahem... what? Oh you mean successful directors! :-D

Just kidding.
