Stunt Driver

I choose this place to ask about this, i heard that there are places where they teach stunt car driving, so i am asking that why doesn't any film maker learn those , for like filming of a chase scene. I Know there also need o be extras also but like only a two car chase scene. I also know that film a chase scene can take more than a few days but is Learning stunt car driving possible ? and worth it ?

I am sure it is worth it. The problem comes in with closing down a street and getting more then just one copy of a stunt car. By the time you get permission to close down the street and get the cars you are probably spending a nice bit of change why not just get the real drivers as well? Just a thought.

Learning stunt driving is very possible. That’s why there are
places where they teach stunt driving. Learning stunt driving is
very worth it if you want to be a stunt driver. And you’re right;
filming a chase scene can take several days. I have worked as a
second unit director where all I do for a movie is shoot the car
chases. Sometimes a car chase can take a week or more to shoot.

Please don’t think that being a stunt choreographer is starting
“small”. A good stunt choreographer is a very skilled person on a
set. Someone who responsible for the safety of stunt players, cast
and the crew.
