Stockfootage

I'm looking for semi-psychedelic stock-footage like space in Aronofsky's "The Fountain" or the Gerald Potterton classic "Heavy Metal", or even splatter art like the beginning of Gondry's "The Science of Sleep".
Anyone know where to find this?

I cut out these 6 second shots from my copy of The Fountain, but that's not really sufficient.

I would also be interested in shooting stuff like this myself, any hints or typs on how to arrange this?
I'd really like to have these multicoloured lava'ish flows, but I have no idea what to shoot in order to get this effect.

Its for animation.

Help much apreciated.

www.archive.org has lots of stock footage available for use. You might find something there...
