South African film studio has lots of business.

After opening its doors in late 2010, Cape Town Film Studios has been so aggressively courted by so many movie producers that it was obliged to turn away 32 film projects in 2014 alone.

Hmmm .... I'm wondering if this is a way to learn the business - buy a studio, get into a low-risk side of the business, and figure out how movies are made. Rik, what do you say about that?

Even though your post is only directed at Rik, I'm going to chime in.

I'm not sure buying an actual studio or creating one for $30 MILLION is low-risk.... :)

It's all about knowledge of the market, prep-work, and the gumption to actually follow through with one's ideas.

I'm willing to learn from anyone. :)

$30 million is nothing at the corporate level.
