I picked up Sony Movie Studio Suite 12 from B&H Photo and the programs included with it make it worth the money. I did get the last copy when I was there for $95 before sales tax.
The included software in the bundle are DVD Architect 5, Sound Forge 10, Isotope, Red Giant Magic Bullet, New Blue transitions, New Blue Special Effects, and New Blue 3D Title Generator. The DVD will install both a 64 bit version and a 32 bit version if it detects a Windows Vista, 7, or 8 64 bit operating system. The accessory programs can be used with any other video editing software on the computer as well. The DVD Architecture can author DVDs, Blu-rays, and 3D Blu-rays.
It can import a wide variety of HD cameras direct from the cameras with Firewire connections. For RED cameras, the big brother version, Sony Vegas Professional is needed. But, for quick HD video projects, Movie Studio is a good deal with the most common tools included for your small projects.
