Sony Compositing Software?

So why doesn't Sony have a software equivalent of After Effects? Or does it? I like Sony. Vegas 10 is a bit cheaper than CS5. So wouldn't it be nice if Vegas had a Sony product/counterpart for compositing etc? I mean wouldn't it be nice if Sony sold software that did the job AE does and that also integrated seamlessly with Vegas, as AE does with CS5 (or so I've read)?

Yes, as this thread,
http://www.indietalk.com/showthread.php?t=27735
taught us, you can move your Vegas project into AE. But it sure doesn't seem seamless, let alone user friendly, to me.

Just sayin'.

No big. Just seems to me that if you want to be able to use something like AE without a headache, you might as well just get CS5. But'd be nice if Sony offered an alternative that worked with Vegas...that is, worked with it like buttah.

EDIT: Ah, maybe answering my own question, finally, I found this article: http://www.eventdv.net/Articles/ReadArticle.aspx?ArticleID=71755, which led me to Boris FX http://www.borisfx.com/sony/bccsvp/. It sounds like that and other programs fit the bill.

So, maybe though not favored by this forum's users, Vegas 10 maybe could be an alternative to Adobe at a slightly better price.
