Somewhat cheap steadicam

Hey all, I've been needing a steadicam for a while now and I really want to get one for my DSLR (rebel t3i) and was wondering if you guys know a good one that isn't extremely expensive. I don't want a cheap one that won't work, so im talking medium quality here.

One that could do the work seen in this video in the beginning as the troops are running out

The key to a good steady cam rig is balance and weight. That being the case, why not just make one yourself. There are SO many tutorials on youtube and all over the interweb that show how to do it...

Besides, more than the rig itself, it takes practice to make steady-cam footage look good. I've seen footage done by someone using their folded up tri-pod for counterweight, and the it looked awesome.
