Someone using the Sennheiser ME 66/K6 alongside with a Zoom H6, H4n?

What are your settings on the Zoom?
Gain level, SNR, Limiting/Compressing??
As well on the Mic (placement, rigging)

Thanks!

As well on the Mic (placement, rigging)

1. Gain level: High enough to get a good strong signal (ideally an average of between -24dB to -16dB) but low enough not to clip the signal (hit 0dB).
2. Provided you set the gain high enough to achieve a decent signal (as above) but not so high that you notice the noise produced by the Zoom's mic pre-amp, then the settings on your Zoom will not affect the SNR.
3. Ideally as little Limiting/Compression as possible but enough to avoid clipping. So in an extreme situation where one second you've got a character whispering and the next second they're shouting, you're either going to need to adjust your gain pre-emptively or use quite a lot of Limiting.
4. Ideally on a shock mounted boom pole, about 12 inches or so in front and above the talent, aimed down towards the base of their throat.

If you're asking for precise settings, it's not possible to give you any. It all depends on the people/actors you're recording, how they are delivering their lines, the environment where you are recording them and the requirements of the shoot (framing, etc.).
