I'd first work on having your camera operator be much more steady with the shots. If you can buy, beg, borrow, or steal a tripod, that would improve your shorts right away.
I would then work on getting a few cheap work lights at Home Depot...
Depending on the weight of your camera I'd recommend investing in a cheap Manfrotto tripod. As even one of the cheaper Manfrotto tripods will be better than the standard no-name own brand photography shop tripods.
yeah I know the camera work is unsteady, I have a tripod but we were away at my cottage and I forgot to bring it . I promise next time it will be more steady :{}
