Small Prision Infirmary - Need Lighting Advice

Hi Guys,

So I will be filming a short film that takes place in a small Prison infirmary. I wanted to get some expert opinions on lighting set ups for this.

I want to evoke a "sickly" feel - standard florescent lighting, dry, sickly.

Here is the space in question:

I plan on renting just 4 Keno Flow Diva 400s. Do you think that will be enough to properly light this room in the style I am looking for?

As far as having enough light, I think you're fine. My concern would be how to create contrast with all those white walls. If it were me, I think I would use some small fresnels if you can get them, just to control the lighting a bit more and get some modeling on the faces. Sickly lighting I think is often associated with a green cast. You could try and light he talent with bare Divas, and maybe put a little Plus Green on the lights hitting the background. That would give you good faces but make the room seem a bit queasy. The rest you tweak in post.

Oh, I should point out that Divas do tend to have what I think is a very small green cast anyhow. Another crazy idea would be to put a bit of minus green on the talent, so that when you bring that back around in color correction, you'll be accentuating the natural green/yellow of the Divas. Sometimes the crazy stuff works.

Awesome! Thanks for the advice.
