yep!
any suggestions for a casual film making device?
examples like
BMPCC (too expensive!! and not as casual as it's physical appearance...), nokia 1020 seems great
any other suggestions?
RX100? fits into a pocket quite nicely!

Hi nivek535 - my vote would be for the $300 Canon EOS M with the 22mm pancake because none of the other cameras on your list has a mic jack.

This camera can also be modified to record RAW video with the free Magic Lantern firmware modification.

If you don't need a mic jack or RAW, you may want to consider the $857 Panasonic GX7 w 20mm pancake lens because of its in-body image stabilization, focus peaking, intervalometer for timelapse and built-in viewfinder.
