editing Slow Motion Animation

I am preparing to make a short animation that will contain some slow motion sequences. Should I animate the characters in slow motion or animate everything at normal speed and do the slow motion in post? Please help! Thanks.

Since it'll be animated, set it up at normal speed, but export at a higher frame rate. This will give you actual slow mo without having to figure out the timings of things in a different way than you normally would.
