Shutter count and starter lenses

Hello everybody,
I found very rare opportunity to buy in a very budget friendly price a Canon 5D. It's used and I wanted to know which is the best software that I can use to see the shutter count. Any suggestions?

Also, if this opportunity turns out to be legit, what kind of lenses should I get for a basic lens kit? A 35 mm and 50 mm it's already on my mind but am wondering if there is anything else.

Are you buying this primarily for photography or video use? If it's the latter I wouldn't be particularly concerned about shutter count, as the shutter isn't used at all in video mode.

The mirror is used in some instances when you autofocus, not the shutter. Autofocus in video mode is bad enough though that I wouldn't ever consider using it, so I wouldn't worry about it if your primary task is shooting video - you're going to have to learn to pull focus manually!
