I just want to say that the Terminator franchise has taken a sad turn from it's youthful beginnings, like an aging porn star hosting ever larger gang-bangs, then five years later gang-bangs with midgets, then five years later tranny midget gang-bangs, then five years later...
Just quit.
As soon as effing possible. Just quit.

Heheh, I totally disagree. I looooooove the last two Terminator films! Please make more!

To be fair, the Skynet military satellites have been around since the 60s, and were likely the inspiration for the name in Terminator. But that does not make this tidbit less funny/creepy.

But...are we still trusting The Register as a source? :P

And don't we all know that a version Big Brother is already here? In a way, it's one of those things that makes me think that maybe I'm glad that I'm mortal.

"HAL" is expected to be applied in various fields such as rehabilitation support and physical training support in medical field, ADL support for disabled people, heavy labour support[*] at factories, and rescue support at disaster sites, as well as in the entertainment field.[**]

(bold is mine)

*Based on the design pictured, I don't see how this one will work. There is no grip with means that the person operating the thing is still going to need to use their own wrist and forearm strength to hold onto whatever they are lifting, basically making the thing useless for lifting more than you already could. Either that or it would snap your wrist off.

**Ok, this I just don't get  How the hell could it be used in entertainment?
