Short Film

I'm writing a short film around 10 to 15 minutes long about a guy who gets in a car accident and wakes up in a hospital. He is in the hallway and tries to get back to his room, but he doesn't remember where it is. He tries to talk to the nurses and other people but they seem to ignore him. When he eventually finds his room, he goes in and sees his family crowded around a bed. He goes up to the bed only to see that the body is his. It ends up with him sitting in the hallway in a wheelchair crying while the rest of the world carries on and he fades to nothing. Sometimes throughout the film I want to have other people that are like him and going through the same thing in the background. Also, I want five key events. As the story progresses and the main character gets closer to finding out what has happened, each events should get creepier, more twisted and mess with your mind. I have a couple, but I'm kind of stuck. I have the main character tries to get people on an elevator to wait for him so he can get in. The main character falls and nobody will help him to get up. And someone else in the hospital collapses and he tries to get help, but none of the nurses do anything. That's all I've got right now and I need some help getting the last two really creepy, messed up, twisted, screw with your mind kind of things.

Maybe there is a ‘Crazy Mary’ that is like “Where’s my baby!? I can't find my baby!” because her baby survived an accident that she didn’t. So she is running around trying to ask people “Have you seen my baby??, Where is my baby!!?” ” but no one can see or hear her.

Maybe have a Kid like age 10 that is mysterious. When someone steps out of frame the Kid is behind them here and there freaking us out. Like someone alive waits for an elevator. It opens and they step in (and out of frame) to reveal the Kid standing there in the corner all blank and dead and creepy. Then the person gets off the elevator (steps out of frame) to reveal the Kid was behind them on the elevator.

Then maybe at the end after a struggle to see himself in the bed, the main character FINALLY manages to see himself in the hospital bed, and when he does he wakes up brought back to life only to learn all of his family are dead (From one big accident).

So he goes from unable to contact the living while temporarily “dead” TO unable to contact the dead and in a sense means he is (we are) only temporarily living.

-Thanks-
