THE EARLY DEADLINE FOR THE SHORT SCRIPTS FALL SEASON SHORT FILM FUND IS AUGUST 20TH!

The Short Film Fund awards one Grand Prize Winner with a $15,000 cash production grant to help get their script financed and produced.

And, new this season! We are excited to offer a 2nd Place cash grant of $2,500 specifically for finishing funds submissions. As filmmakers, we know it can be challenging to get a short over the finish line, and a little extra support toward post-production and/or distribution can go a long way. Finishing Funds submissions will be considered for both the Grand Prize and 2nd Place Prize.

Other highlights of the prize packages include:​
  • Free camera equipment rental from ARRI RENTAL for the duration of production in any country they operate,​
  • Mentorship with two-time Oscar-nominated producer MARIA GRACIA TURGEON,​
  • Film Festival Strategy Package with Tribeca programmer, filmmaker, and Academy member, KIMBERLEY BROWNING,​
  • Free 30-minute consultation from our new partner SEED&SPARK,​
  • The opportunity to have scripts circulated to select members of our Industry and Directors Rosters,​
  • The opportunity to be considered for an online meeting with NATALIE GERGELY (VP, Scripted at Gunpowder & Sky) or KIRSTIE MACDONALD (Creative Director of TV at FilmNation),​

$15,000 CASH PRODUCTION GRANT | REGULAR DEADLINE SEPT. 30TH

This season, the Shore Scripts Short Film Fund will award one Grand Prize Winner a $15,000 cash production grant to help finance and produce their script. We will also award a 2nd Place cash grant of $2,500 specifically for one short in need of finishing funds.

Films produced through the Fund have screened at Sundance, Tribeca, Cannes, BFI London, Austin, Palm Springs, Encounters, and many more. Our alumni have gone on to gain representation, sold screenplays, and been staffed on Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, & BBC shows as a direct result of winning and producing their shorts with us.
