Senses in scene?

Vision, smell, taste, touch and hear—those are our five senses. When you write a novel, they are very important. But in a screenplay? I haven’t any idea. I mean when I write the room stinks you can imagine the character’s face. However, should I do this in a screenplay? Should I write about senses in a scene?

Write only what can be portrayed by an actor or visibly shown on a screen.

Sure. Or build the characters' reaction to the smell into the dialogue.
