Seeking, shot composition help.

I am composing a shot that will be use to cut to, during a bunch of action shots, to move lyrics forward in a music video. The Mood is high, but not fake energy.

Ingredients:

Two music artist singing lyrics
10 rednecks drinking beer
10 cute girls
Sunset
Several trucks
Dirt
Sunset
BBQ
Bonfire
Beers

Direction:
In my head I see two heads performing for the camera in front of rednecks and cute girls with a sunset and trucks in the background.. But, damn that seems a bit cliche'.. Can anyone think of any vids that did this shot really well? or does anyone have thoughts on how to get the cliche' out of the shot?

.. Thanks!

Do you mean this is your "master" shot?

cliche, might be just what you need..depends on what the "tone" of the video, you say high but not fake, Im not getting what that means?

If you want real, just make it real (better then real)....
grab your pickups and head to some dunes or riding areas out in the desert. Bring the cute girls and the cute guys (women buy more music then men), fire up the bar-b-q and Have a big REAL party as the sun goes down... maybe fake a light brawl or two with the redneck boys, scuffle for a bit then dust them selves off and go get a beer together... have all this "real" action going on around the two singers singing, maybe ducking a punch or steping around some wild texas 2 step, sorta like they are walking THROUGH the scene but aren't really part of it..

<The noob is strong in this one ... Yes master shot! Ahh, learning feels so good sometimes.

Yeah, I guess I am nervous that I don't want sticks in the mud.. but I am also nervous that if I say go wild, then I will have a bunch of corny moments on my hands. I am not shy about working from reference. I would love to be able to work from an example.. I've watched hundreds of music videos, and cant seem to find something I can look at for a framework.

The dust can be a strong element for sure.. even the rednecks being jerks to each other in the background could be kinda cool too.

noob here too! It is the "Newbies" forum after all

Im purposing not quite going "wild" but playing loose and setting up an environment where you can get the "real" reactions and feel your looking for. You know you don't have to break out the REAL beer until much closer to the wrap up (if at all).

I guess it really all depends on the song, what style is it> Are the artist naturally supposed to be around red neck guys and girls, or are you trying to do a culture clash thing?

Have the cute girls kiss a lot.. lots of cleavage, jello wrasslin..rednecks like that... so do I

BUT SERIOUSLY..

Rule of thirds, plan out your camera movements, track the feet/path of some characters, POV, I wanna drool over the ladies, lemme see some booty and the band in the same shot, show some beer bottles spill, fall or crash.

Rednecks ? gotta be a fight ! Have them complain about Obama did ______ << fill in the blank

HAVE FUN !!
