here is some secrets
i learned for a hit movie,

1. make audience feel great
about themselve, show them
hidden enegries in themselves
make them feel special
(as in matrix, hancock, spiderman...
audience feel great to be a spiderman,
as in a movie they watch themselves on
screen)

2. Help people conquer what they
fear, what they hate (job? or terrerist)

defeat all those situations in your film
(hero becomes better than his boss
and starts his own bussiness)
showing your hero defeating,
mocking etc.

3. give them what they want
most beautiful girl, diamond,
jennie, or something that's
they dream.

help your audience
conquer their weaknesses
fears, situations, and everything
frustrating them

Actually I think most eastern European films are exactly the opposite. A bit like: "Life is sh*t and then you die, darling, here smoke this cigarette, I know you are 7 years old, so what." ... kind of a thing

Seriously? That's what most Eastern European films are like? I saw you made a similar comment on a music video about a guy reminiscing about his girlfriend who had died. You said it was too "Eastern European".
How about I pick one Australian film out, and say all Australian films are like that. Not fair is it? You sound very closed-minded my friend.
