The Revenge of the Aspie, produced by the film team Moviemakers, won second place for the Audience Award at the 24 Hours Film Race 2010 Washington, DC competition on Thursday, September 30, 2010. It is the story of J.B., a young man with Asperger’s syndrome, a developmental condition characterized by verbosity and the inability often to read social cues. J.B. encounters a bully and his girlfriend, and from there the short film (less than five minutes) takes off with an unexpected ending. Nigel Parkinson Jr. was the producer, director and scriptwriter.

Nigel wrote a short script, "Threads of Hope, Threads of Life," about the effect of AIDS on the relationship of a mother and daughter when the former, a nurse, contracts the disease from an accident in the hospital where she works.

Nigel Parkinson, Jr. was one of ten finalist out of 500 submissions in a nation competition, RAP-IT-UP BASS Competition, sponsored in 2004 by BET, Kaiser Permanenter Family Foundation, and Black AIDS Institute.
