Hi everyone, great to be here!
I’m Alessio, a filmmaker based in Scotland with a background in directing both narrative work and branded content. I’ve worked across film, TV, and digital—most recently with the BBC on a comedy pilot called Islelanders, and a series of documentary-style ads for global brands like Porsche and Leica.
Right now, I’m deep in production prep for my new short film Straw — a darkly funny Scottish folk horror about family, cults, and inherited expectations. Think Barbarian meets The Wicker Man with a Coen Brothers vibe. We’re currently crowdfunding and sitting at around 30% funded on IndieGoGo.
I joined IndieTalk to connect with other creatives, share some hard-won lessons (crowdfunding, micro-budget development, hybrid tone writing), and hopefully offer some value in return. Always happy to chat about directing, writing for limited resources, or moving from commercial work into film and TV.
