The SCENECS International Debut Film Festival is a film festival that offers a platform for debuting filmmakers. The festival takes place in Amersfoort for the seventh time this fall and it’s possible that your fiction or documentary film will be screened here!
You can enter the competition with your production, where you can win the coveted Dutch Golden Stone Award and price money, which you can invest in your next production. Your fiction film or documentary and the other (international) entries, will be judged by big names in the Dutch film industry, such as Jos Stelling, Peter Verhoef and Steven de Jong. The best productions will be rewarded during the spectacular Grand Gala evening.
SCENECS also offers an educational program during the festival for the development of debuting filmmakers. In 2011 there were with the filmmakers after the screening of their movie and there was a master class given by Mijke de Jong.
