Sag New Media Question

This may be a stupid question but does anyone know if you can cast Sag Eligible actors in a Sag new media production?

I'm debating on whether to turn the webseries Ive started into a New Media contract, and a couple of my people are Sag E. Apparently you just need to cast one actual sag member to make it Sag New Media, which I have, so I'm wondering if I can do it, and whether I should...

It's not a stupid question, but I don't understand what you are asking.

You don't make a project "SAG New Media". It's a contract that allows
a producer to use SAG actors for less than the standard rate.

From what Ive been told by Sag, if you want to use Sag New Media, you have to become a Sag Signatory, and then you can only use Sag Actors (anyone whos not sag has to be taft hartleyed)... So technically it would be doing a sag project.

That's correct.

You will sign an agreement with SAG and become a signatory. Then
you can hire SAG actors. If your actors are SAG eligible, the way I
understand it, is they will have to join, pay their fees and dues and
then you can hire them.

Sorry I can't give a definitive answer - looks like another call to SAG
will be needed.
