What is it that is currently up?
My name's Josh and my purpose on this earth is to make films. Filmmaking is my whole world, starting now! Minus working on my cars. And my wife. And my day job..
Anyways, stoked to be here and looking forward to being a part of this site. I'm no stranger to forums, and I don't just stop in when I'm in trouble and need help.. I'm around to help others, if ever possible. No half steppin' as they say.
I've been mulling around the forums, wasting time till they approved my account, and I've already learned so much... I can tell i'll like it here.
So my budget has allowed me a Canon T2i with a decent tripod. reading up on Magic Lantern and it sounds awesome... Thinking about ordering a fish-eye off ebay.. just to get started.. And I have 7 or 8 vintage lenses that I'm ordering adaptors for later this week. Some real gems that I've picked up for free or dirt cheap over the last 2 summers..
I've started rigging up plans for a diy shoulder rig.. and i'm floating around the net looking for a used flycam 3000 or the equivlent that I can modify into a vest..
Unfortunately, for now, i'm limited to a PC so I'm looking at Adobe Premiere.. and I have nothing else to speak of.. no mic, amp, pre-anything...
I have started writing a web-based, documentary style project about auto-salvage yards and I'm working with someone else to take the -mumblemumble- he wrote and adapt it for film.. hopefully bring the -mumble something something- out of the dark ages!..
I'll elaborate more on that once i'm less of a rookie around here
