Raising funds for Small Film

Amy, Your cost wasn't unreasonable for a short. One doesn't have to spend more than that for a "promotion piece". Besides, with enough $$$, even a crappy director can spend his way into a snazzy-looking promotional piece. Your $31K feature budget with some pay is completely doable.
