I have used a quote from Shakespeare to open my film and have quoted him in the film, but I am also using the quote on the promo posters that will go around my local area. Do I need to acknowledge him on the posters? It looks a bit messy having to quote him on the poster - that is the only issue. Its an eleven word quote so not overly massive, but still... thought I would ask

Quote away. You quote Shakespeare everyday when you use words and idioms he brought into tue English lexicon.
Total public domain. You can do whatever you want with it. No need to cite the source (though it's usually the polite thing to do, I doubt Shakespeare will really care as he's been dead for centuries.)
But this might be just the exposure that his work needs!
