Question for those who know steadicams.

While working at Dunkin Donuts the other day I noticed that our monitor, to tell us what coffees to make, was mounted to the wall by an isostatic wall mount...

So I pose the question. Would this isostatic wall mount work for a steadicam vest isostatic arm? I think it would in theory...

I did some research and found the isostatic wall mount for around $100. If this idea would work, I'm going to jump on this cheap cheap cheap alternative solution.

I had never heard that term before - I had to look it up. What
is on the Steadicam is an iso-elastic arm. I had to look that
up, too.

I don't believe it will work - those arms are static and what
you need with a camera is something that isolates and
redistributes movement. If you take the arm and monitor
off the wall and then move the arm up and down will the
monitor stay stationary? That's what the springs do on the
Steadicam - allow movement.

But for $100 it couldn't hurt to give it a try.
