Question about SQUEEZE mode on Panasonic AG-DVC60

I have a Panasonic AG-DVC60. I would like to use the Squeeze mode to achieve a widescreen look for my film project. This film will be intended for viewing on widescreen TV sets and for submission to festivals, etc.
MY QUESTION --- if any of you has used this Squeeze mode, could you tell me --- how bad is the "loss of resolution" that I've been warned about? Will it destroy my project.. or will it be barely noticeable?

I conducted a small test.. and I'm not seeing any huge issue with the resolution. But please give me your opinions, based on your experience with this. Did you think the loss of resolution was a significant problem? And therefore, would you advise not using this feature for my movie project?

Thank you for your input!

The squeeze mode stretches the 720 horizontal pixels from 4:3 to 16:9.
(They weren't square in 4:3 either: DV PAL and NTSC are non-square pixel.)

However: it is SD.
If you worry about resolution, go shoot in HD instead.
