Putting a lense on a FS200

So the fs200 doesn't have threads in it but after watching a lot of videos apparently I can glue on a step down ring. I am also hoping to buy a cheap wide angles lense for it. I have two questions though.

1. Some people say it should be a 34-37mm step down ring, others say 37-43mm but which one will actually fit best.

2. Could any wide angle lense with the correct mm size fit? Does it have to be a certain brand or such?

I can't answer your first question, but any screw-in wide angle lens with the right thread diameter should work fine. I'd try and avoid really cheap wide angle adaptors if you can - remember everything you're recording is going through it. Cheaper lenses will probably lose you more light, have more aberrations and imperfections and generally be of poorer build quality.
