Puppets...?

So I want to try my hand at puppeteering, but specifically for videos. Has anyone tried this before? Do I start out with a full body puppet or hand puppets? Thanks!

Haven't done any puppetry since I was a kid - or done puppetry with my kids.

The choice is yours. You can go "Fireball XL5", "Sesame Street/Muppets", "Potter Puppet Pals" or "Gumby and Pokey" or "Action League Now" (which aren't really puppets).
