Hey guys wasup ?
I've got two short films under my belt, one of them was screened at a festival and i'm now working on my first feature.
I want to use 5 or 10 seconds of footage from Brando's "One eyed jacks" which is currently on public domain. My question is, will i be breaking any copyright law if i use the footage on my feature and then do some sort of public screening of it ?
I know that even if something is public domain it may still have performance rights so i'm not sure if it's safe for me to use it. The footage will only be used as a movie that my main character is watching on tv, something subtle.
Thanks
