Promo Page for my Film

How is this looking so far?

http://www.cvkproductions.com/ICreator2Promo.html

I will add video clips only when I have something worthwhile to show. Fot the time being, the animatic gives a good overview of things to come as the footage is up together.

I'm working on the intro and my DP is putting together the fight scenes. He's doing a good job with them.

On the last filming day, we shot a whole scene showing how the silver demon hunters collect trophies from their victims and keep them, like the sunglasses. So, it is explained in the film.

My initial response is that it's too crowded. There's too much going on. Not enough seperation - which means it's not easy to read. Not user-friendly.

There seems to be TWO promo pictures? Then an almost identical picture below. Almost three images exactly the same. Why is that necessary? Can you not choose one?

The synopsis is lost in the barrage of pictures.

I don't see any reference to ICreator...

I can't navigate away from the page to get onto the rest of your website. (Which doesn't do those wanting to see more of your work any favours)

The design for me is what's lacking. It could be better presented. The images could be in a slide show. The synopsis could be made more prominent.

Too crowded to be eye-catching at the moment.

Thanks for that. It is a work in progress. I'll spend more time with it this week.

Click on the promo pictures to navigate.

There are 2 promos to show how it is going from conceptual art to actual production in the photo.

I'll spend more time on the layout this week.

It looks very 1996 to me. It's basically just a single-columned table with pictures. You even included a page hit counter (which didn't work for me, actually). Please don't tell me that the graphic is one of those digital-clock looking counters... ;)

PTP had some good suggestions for making it more visually appealing :)

This is my suggestion (and it's an unpleasant one, sorry):

Would you employ a plumber to fix your car? Would you hire a mechanic to write your autobiography? Would you expect a football player to be able to direct a movie?

You're a movie maker, there's no reason why you should be a web designer. Unfortunately this is one of those occasions where my only real advice is to hire a professional web designer. It's an unfortunate but necessary expense, in my opinion.

If you need some help I can give you the names of people who will do you a discounted rate but, frankly, this is going to be the biggest marketing tool for you film so the better it looks, the better the film looks. This is one particular area where I wouldn't advise scrimping.

I have that in mind for the future.

I told the cast and crew the final cut of the movie won't be available until next year for the same reason, LOC--Low On Cash.

I'm sure you saw the bad job the 3D guy did with the military base interior scene. It has to be redone by someone with more skills and more modern equipment. I just don't know how I can afford it now.

I suggested to my DP that since we have the movie shot, if we can put together a few good scenes, maybe we should give Indieagogo a shot. I also want to rework the intro with CamVaders suggestions. The conflict is just foreshadowed in the Intro between the humans and the cyborgs. The rest of the footage is the story about the conflict. Angela, Gail, and Roberta stand in the way of the cyborgs launching a full scale revolution against the humans because the 3 cyborgs know what it is like to have a world without humans. They came from such a world--Earth. They are not looking to see that happen again. Artemis arrives to help them rise to become the leaders of the cyborgs against Ares and other cyborgs.

There 's lots of conflict as the story unfolds and we put the footage. My DP is doing the same thing as I am with a production he produced. He made a pilot to sell a bigger production. So, we are on the same page for a final outcome.

I would not only like to look into a web designer, but a professional in an area a lot of filmmakers are weak in, a public relations person who specializes in marketing films too.

All it takes is money. Money removes all barriers. When money is scarce, we have to wear more hats than we should.

There's a lot that takes money, but money really isn't the thing stopping the larger percentage of filmmakers.

I guess you can only say it so many times, but, if you have a good product trust that you won't have to pay for much to get people involved in it for credits, etc. You'll only have to present your case and ask, then it'll come.

Try asking a college student or someone that wants to build a great page to do it for a few days worth of lunch. They could probably kick out something from a template that they've got stored if they feel it's worth their time.
