Producing a short film that has been adapted into a feature

A while back, I wrote a short film and got good feedback on it, so I decided to turn it into a feature. Now I'm looking back through some of my scripts for one to produce, and I found the short script. Would it create a problem if I produce the short film and then try and sell the feature?

A lot of filmmakers produce a short film as a method of selling the feature. They use make the short and then show it to people to get them interested in making the feature. So it won't create a problem I don't think, but it could help you. A lot of movies started out as shorts originally, in order to sell it.
