Problem With JVC GY-HM100

First off I admittedly am a complete rookie when comes to all of this but not an idiot by any means -- still I am stumped...

I've been shooting an Indie film and have shot a lot of crisp, detailed footage for transitions etc that looks excellent. However, we filmed a few scenes and when we were looking at the footage on the big screen it didnt look as crisp and had a lot of grain / pixelation going on.

My thoughts were maybe that the lighting we were using was inefficient but we shot some great low lighting test footage when we got the cam, that still looked very crisp.

Our scenes however just dont look like they were shot in HD when we go to put it up on the TV. We are running through the camera with HDMI to 1080P DLP 46 Inch TV and like I said some of our footage looks amazing but some of the other stuff looks awful and unusable.

The information I've given may be too vague for a diagnosis but perhaps someone can give me some scenarios, tips or pointers. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.
