Post whitebalancing

I'm sure there must be a way to whitebalance images in either Photoshop or AfterFX, with a single magic click... I've tried looking for an effect or filter, but no luck so far.

Specifically, I took still images of a series of objects against a white background. The white background came out yellowish. :(

How can I use the eyedropper (or other tool) to tell the software that that colour is really white, and have it automagically shift the colour-wheel for all the other colours?

In photoshop add a level layer, make sure the data fills the entire spectrum, and then use the white eye dropper (it's off to the side of the histogram) to click the background. That should take care of the cast.

I love you, Shaw
