so im finishing up pre-production on my short film and was wondering about the permits as i have to film the beginning and end in a hotel room and was curious if i need to talk to the hotel in order to get permission to film in the room and when i film at the outside location on a country road do i need to get the city permission or the ppl that own the land or the nearby neighbors???

Unless it was a feature with a sizeable budget, I doubt I'd get permission for either of those. What are the odds the hotel owner is going to see the film and recognize their room? Basically zero I imagine.
