Pentax K-5 iis

I started out photography learning with a Pentax K-1000.

This camera looks like a good smooth into video solution.

It is rated as one of the best in this price range and made for 1080 p video at 25 fps.

My college professor liked Nikon for the seasoned professional. But, liked Pentax for people breaking into the business.

It's available here.

I started out photography learning with a Pentax K-1000.

I loved my K-1000, virtually loved it to death except you could barely kill that camera with a sledge hammer.

I upgraded to a K10d later and loved that one also. It kicks the crap out of my T2i for build quality, that's for damn sure, but it was more expensive.

But in the DSLR world, with so much experience in Canon out there and Magic Lantern, and so much Nikon info, as much as Pentax was my favourite for years and years, I'd have a hard time recommending it for video work.

IDK, just my personal feelings on it.

Agreed. I had an up close look at the video setting over the weekend. Its 1080p and 720p setting are at 30 fps. That's not film quality.

I'm pretty happy with my new Canon 60D DSLR camera. It does have both HD film settings and SD video settings.
