Panasonic HVX200p Follow Focus/Mattebox

I was thinking about improving my HVX with a couple additions. I use the camera solely for short films. I'm not very experienced when it comes to these types of add-ons and was hoping someone here could assist.

I'm trying to find a follow focus and mattebox for under $500 for my camera. What would be a good brand? Also, are there any other essential additions to get. The only other one I've considered picking up was a wide angle lens.

Hi Paul - I have been happy with Century Optics products - they make a lens shade with a single filter slot for the HVX200 that wll do what you need it to do. It is $126 new or $100 used from Adorama.

With a $300 Century Optics follow focus kit from Samy's, you should be in business.

Or, there's always the option of spending $1999 for a Chrosziel matte box/follow focus kit
