Really long windup for very little payoff. Gags like this can work very well (cue up Monty Python's tv show, for examples) but this short doesn't have the timing down for it.

An exploding jukebox-squirrel being fed molecularly-unstable coins? You can definitely make it work. It has potential, for the zany factor alone.
