Night of The Living Dead meets Slacker

So I'm writing zombie script that's told in a way that is similar to Slacker. Essentially nothing happens, but it is centered around two sisters who bump into survivor after survivor as they escape a city that is in complete chaos.

My question is: What sort of people should they run into? I want them to be over the top, and memorable...but I've been so fried lately that I'm having a difficult time with it.

Does anyone have a suggestion, or an opinion on the matter?

Thank you!

How about they meet an alarming guy who keeps his envied crush (who's a zombie) in his basement and rapes her day in and day out. They later find out that the zombie (when human) made fun of and humiliated him so he's getting her back....probably make for a sick twist.

I'm definitely self producing this one with the help of a few colleagues. Then....we'll see what happens.

unlikeslacker, the conversations add insight, and build on each other to explain what is happening in the world. So...nothing happens, but everything one needs to know is explained through these encounters.

I'm thinking of some sort of person who hoards guns....but someone unexpected (NOT a redneck; I think it's too cliche)

And an elderly school teacher using her kindergarten students as "bait.....?"

Drug Dealer
Ex-Military Operator
An Olympic target shooter.
A poacher.
A schizophrenic scared of the Russians invading.
2nd Amendment Activist.
Gun manufacturer.

Or my favorite? Me. When I make enough money I'm going to have an armory: I'll quote AVP for this one. "A gun is like a condom. It's better to have one and not need it, than to need it and not have it."

I believe Christian Slater cross-quoted earlier, in 1993, True Romance.

"What the f&*k did you bring that for?"

"These past couple days, all i know is it's better to have a gun and not need it, than to need a gun and not have it"

I'm going to put it out there, as it may have been quoted prior to this also, be it Tarrantino's vast influences, and regular pickings through past films.
