My first post. First attempt at organizing an amateur film.
I wrote a screenplay in the 70's Euro-exploitation-B-movie genre. Influenced by Jess Franco and Giallo-type thrillers. It is a ghost story set on the California coast.
Trying to make a promotional trailer. Going to write the music for it. Did some landscape establishing shots and some underwater shots already.
So far, I have received a lot of applications from volunteer actors, but the logistics of getting them actually to come down to my rural corner of L.A. has proved an obstacle.
I am using a Canon Vixia and GoPro camera. I use a Tascam 8-track, 2 Roland synthesizers and classical /flamenco/electric guitars for soundtrack.
Think I bit off more than I can chew trying to be camerama, editor, composer, director, etc...
