New to Grading

Hi!
I'm new to color grading (and this forum,) and after reading and watching many tutorials, I decided to give it a go. I've done some in the past, but this was the first to try and do it right. I was wondering if you talented people could offer some insight into this area. I was using Premiere, no plugins. I'm here to learn.
I appreciate it!

Your best course of action would be to use proper grading software, rather than trying to use the limited tools within premiere. If you have the creative cloud subscription you've got access to adobe speedgrade, which would be better suited to the task.

If you don't have creative cloud, or want another (and IMHO better) alternative, Davinci Resolve Lite is free.

Thank you for your reply.
I don't have CC, and after spending a great deal of time trying to get Davinci to work, it turns out my graphics card doesn't really work with the software. So for now, I am limited to premiere. Luckily, the computers at my college have Resolve. Although, as far as the job I have done, what feedback would you have?

Well... color grading is subjective. Aside from basic corrections to match shots, applying various looks is highly dependent on the aesthetic you're going for, mood of the piece, etc. So, I can't really give you any useful constructive feedback on a single shot with three varying degrees of darkness (among other things) applied, with no other context.
