new oz movie?

with the 70th anniversary of the wizard of oz coming out and the rumors of a wicked film in 2011, i was thinking another oz movie should be made in the near future. l. frank baum wrote thirteen other interesting adventures through oz, why not make one of them a film as a tribute to him? i dunno. i like that idea. any thoughts?
 
Wicked was an interesting new take on things, but I'm not so sure about making new actual sequels to the original without a new "origin".

On a semi-related note: Most of the follow-up books blow chunks. Just sayin' :)
 
haha the books themselves might have been less than thrilling, but the very ideas that they were based on are fantastically weird to say the least. i mean come on, who wouldnt want to watch a movie about a boy named tip who creates a man with a pumpkin with a head, battles evil witches of oz, and then finds out he was really a princess (princess ozma) the whole time? i think there's something there. and i know theres a lot of people who would welcome the ideas with open arms.
