Hey guys and gals!
I'm shopping for some new light additions to my small arsenal. I'll be using these lights on a feature length this July and August. We'll be running off a generator placed as far away as we can.
A lot of the filming will be:
1.) in a small room, windows have been boarded up providing little bits of sun rays and the walls are medium/dark brown, and the story calls for a lot of ambient lighting / candles
2.) outside (a lot of daytime ext. shots and a few night time ext. shots)
3.) old barns
So far I own these two Fluorescent lights:
CL-255PMD Cool Lights Portable Dimming 2 x 55 watt Softlight (3200K)
CL-655P Cool Lights Portable 6 x 55 watt Softlight (5600K)
I would like to spend under or around $1,000 for 1 or 2 lights. Additionally, any necessary accessories such as orange or blue gels? (I'm not a lighting guy but learning and practicing so I can light my own scenes when I need to)
I appreciate any and all advice and suggestions!!
