New lens?

Hey there,

I am thinking of upgrading my glass for my 550D.

So, I have 3 Lenses. 18-55mm,55-250mm and a 50mm F1.8..

I was looking at some Canon L glass, but its pretty expensive.

If i would sell all my Lenses for only one top notch one, which covers a few focal length, but also has good aperture, which glass could I get ?

Ah, the million dollar question! Finding something with a decent zoom range and large aperture for cheap is next to impossible - you may be able to satisfy two of the requirements. On a crop sensor, I'd go for the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8, but that'll set you back around £800.

You could buy all of them new for £330, if they're all in mint condition you could probably make the majority of that back - maybe £300-320. The 50mm and telephoto hold their value better than the kit lens.

They are all aproximatly 3 months old, so I might get £300 them. Thank you. Might have to save up a bit more :)

The one problem I have with them is that the use with a follow focus is supposed to be quite hard..
