I’m confused about how this works.

I see your ideas on the website and the price. Since an idea
cannot be copyrighted what will keep me from using one of those
ideas and writing a script?

I see you offer consulting work for studios and prodCo’s but nowhere
on your website do I see any info on you. No background, no previously
sold scripts, no list of qualifications as a writer or consultant.

I apologize if this is a negative question, but what keeps people from just stealing the ideas off your site? It seems like the ideas are spelled out enough without having to purchase them.

Thanks for your comments. I will happily sue anyone who wishes to steal my itellectual properties. By accessing the site your are agreeing to my terms and conditions.

Personally, l dislike teaser sites who want you to pay or commit before the product is revealed. I would rather you see what l do and decide for yourself if you want to buy one of these properties or request l develop something as per a studios', requirement. If l hold everything back then who would hire me? My samples are my credential.

I sell alot of copies of my ebook on the back of this site.

The last guy, Escher, hits the nail on the head. i am an ideas man. The real work starts when you try to produce a working script during which l am sure that, if you used one of my ideas, the story would develop and possibly change somewhat from the original concept. Some people might just need that original seed which is where l feel my site comes in.

Its a new site and l am interested to see what people make of it. If you are right and l am giving away too much then l may reconsider how l present the ideas.

Thanks again for your comments

Tim

Right, so I don't understand why you're trying to sell ideas. Ideas are easy, so why would anyone pay for them?

And due to your sue-happy attitude, there is no way in hell I will be going anywhere near your site.

Note: Driving people away from your website over fears of litigation is bad business.

So are these ideas protected in any way? Being that they're just ideas, I doubt they are. I think you'd struggle to sue anyone for breach of copyright from what you have on your website.

On the other hand, I don't think Gordon Ramsay would have any difficulty in sueing you for trying to sell his intellectual property, namely his/Channel 4's popular UK show "Gordon Ramsay's Cookalong Live", in which people can 'pre-purchase the ingredients for a 2 course meal and then tune in to participate with *Gordon Ramsay* in preparing their evening meal...'. Sounds familiar...

Thanks to all of you on this forum and several others. This has been an interesting experiment which l will rethink as it received too much confused comment. I have reduced the web site temporarily to my ebook only. Watch this space as they say.

As to Eschers comment, l have sold so many original ideas over the years. I learned that ideas are worthless until you get paid for them, which l did.

PS Thanks for pointing out the Cookalong fo par!

Regards
Tim

What ideas have you sold, and for how much did you sell them for? I have all kinds of ideas; it would amuse me to no end if people were actually willing to give me money for them.
