new here

hi,
i'm sure you guys get tons of these, 'hey look at me' posts, so here's yet another...

i'm an experienced spot editor that desires to cut a quality indie feature, so thought i'd give this place a try. i have access to my own avid. you can see some of my spot work here: http://sliceedit.com go to editors, then kelly....

most recent thing i just finished cutting was a very short film for web (i.e. an ad) for starbucks. that can be seen at http://theredcup.com

most of the spots i cut are film based. usually 35mm. i did cut a short that made it into Seattle Film Festival, but nothing worth cheering about. not to sound bitter at all, but i find that many of these indie film forums are overloaded with ambitious high schoolers that call themselves directors, dp's, and film editors because they have a dv cam, final cut, and access to the web. hoping it's not the case here. sorry if offend, but it's getting old.

thanks for the time. and sorry if i wasted it. any feedback would be nice.
kelly v. :)

Welcome Kelly V.,

I think you'll find the artists here run the gamut from newbie to seasoned professionals, and all contribute in different ways. This is a great site, people are all willing to listen and advise. I :) know you'll have a good time here!
