Well introductions out of the way first...

Name's Paul Robinson but feel free to use Robo or even Dinghy...I answer to both...I've long had a liking for movies but have only recently reinforced and become confident that making them is what I want to do...its been tough because I have never owned a video camera in my life...but that hasn't and won't stop me.

I'm currently starting up a little 'movie studio'...if it can even be called that...it's actually called 'Mantra'

At the moment we are a group of three 18 year olds and we are situated in Australia...our numbers could be expanding soon but not sure, just have to see who we can get on board.

First movie is currently in the R & D stage and goes by the code name of "The Indigo Project" and should be a real challenge for us.

Equipment wise we are a bit limited but my plan is to do the absolute best we can with what we have (certainly no DVX-100A's here...lol) but as far as props and locations go one of the team has got that all under control and it should come out nicely...

More details will arrive in the future but for now I'd just like to say hi! :)
 
Gday robo, Where are you located mate? Im doing some stuff in Japan right now ... but will eventually head back to our sunny shores in aus. I have a dvx100a and will be moving up to hvx in the future. Anyway if we are close in Aus and you got something intersting going ... or I have and you want to get involved let me know Im always on the look out for crew :D
 
ncje - I'm located in Taree on the Mid North Coast of NSW bout 3 ish hours north of Sydney....so it's a bit out of the way...lol...
 
As far as any work i've done i've written a couple of scripts:

- a 6-8 minute animated short film
- a 30 minute pilot for a tv series

I've had concepts for about 3 or 4 other short films all swirling around in my head and am also wokring towards a feature script (in very small steps). The funny thing is almost all of these were a result of something I did at school in the last year which I would have never expected as I was starting out.

be aware that FRANK isn't that great...was my first effort...and was replaced in a school assignment by the second one....which I'm much more proud of...and the camera angles get a bit annoying but my teacher wanted them in there
