Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself briefly. The name is Andrew, and I'm currently studying film production at Keene State College. Senior year and will be working on a project positioned as the Production Manager for the film THE ROAD TO RUIN. Last semester I spent studying abroad in Japan to meet my language requirement and got really lucky because my host mother was a film/television/radio producer. She has meant several actors and well known directors and claims that every year she sends a Christmas card to John Woo. I have yet to see this "Christmas Card" but I trust the woman.... ANYWAYS, while at Keene, I founded the Screenwriter's Guild of Keene State and we have done alot considering we have only been around for a year. We were able to get Script Advisor Craig Kellem to come and speak with us about the fundamentals of screenwriting.
My plans for after school are hopefully attending grad school at Rockport College in Maine. It seems like a good place, but I haven't been there yet to check it out. Any advice or suggestions about the whole grad school idea? I think it would be fun to get my masters and possibly teach screenwriting or something like that down the road. My ultimate goal is to write and direct, but we'll see what happens to that. All right, so much for keeping this brief. Well, this seems like a great environment and I'm glad to see so many people enthusiastic and willing to help eachother. I am more then happy to give my advice to anyone who needs it. I may not be a professional, but I feel I can give very good supportive criticism. All right everyone, keep it real and follow the dream.
