Need tips to make a 3 minute short film

Hello everyone,

I am Kanaad Bhat and I'm a student of IIFT New Delhi. I have participated in a corporate competition for which I need to make 3 minute short film on either of "Real World Leadership" or "Together We Win".

Guidance will be immensely appreciated. Thanking you guys inn advance.
 
I'm not a filmmaker, however if you get to the stage where you need some music I would love to help you out!

Write or Acquire a great script.
Learn how to light correctly.
Learn how to record good sound.
Audition and select good actors.
Keep that camera moving with smooth motions using tools such as a Dolly.

It's just that simple :D
 
'Together we win ' is nearly perfect topic for 3 minute films.You can create a imaginary incident based on some groups those are reaching some where or doing something like that.That's the thread.

Now get a descent camera,lights(if not daylight),audio gadgets(Zoom H1 for basic needs) for production.

Shoot the video (direct your imaginations into frames) and do some basic video editing with softwares (sony vegas pro,after effects,premier etc).For audio part ,stick to adobe audition or do simply do it inside video editing software. [To do these things,you need somebody who is expert in these softwares]

Get back to your comp with your new movie.Its that easy..
